Cumann Pheadair Naofa young camogs participated in their first camogie blitz which took place in An Riocht on Saturday 30 July. The U-6, U-8 and U-10 blitz was organised by Down Camogie Board and was attended by clubs throughout the county. Cumann Pheadair Naofa camogie coordinator Yvonne McFerran stated that the blitz was a huge success and that the girls thoroughly enjoyed their first experience of playing other teams.
Club secretary Anne McCormack welcomed the re establishment of camogie in Warrenpoint and paid tribute to Down Camogie Board for their assistance and advice. She also thanked club member Yvonne Mc Ferran. Camogie training continues every Friday evening at 6pm at Milltown Playing Fields and new members are most welcome.
