The weekend of 21st & 22nd of September will see Warrenpoint club come together to raise much needed funds to cover the continuing costs of our ever increasing and successful club, which sees record breaking members for 2018. With success comes increased cost, but the loyal and proactive managers, mentors and members of Warrenpoint GAA have come up with a new and innovative way to keep fit and raise money in ‘Warrenpoint GAA 24 Hour Move-a-thon!’ the aim is that the club participate in movement and exercising for 24 hours non stop!
There will be a full timetable of events which will see something for everyone to participate in inclunfing a Dance-a-Thon and live Ceili on Friday night and a games morning in St Marks for all our U6-U14 teams on Saturday 22nd September. The 24 hours will end with a final fun family hour from 5pm and a BBQ back in the clubrooms.
The main source of fundraising will be through the use of sponsor cards, each member will be given one with the aim of raising £50 each. Anyone who raises over £65 will get a pair of crested sports gloves in their size and anyone who raises over £100 will be entered into a draw to win a pair of football boots. So if you see any of our young members out collecting please give generously! Keep an eye out on social media for some surprise events!
