Feile Peile Na nÓg All-Ireland comes to Warrenpoint and indeed Down next weekend, a fantastic national gaelic football event for U14 boys and girls from every county of Ireland and of course across the water when we welcome lots of teams. Warrenpoint boys welcome the boys from South London & the girls play host to
Taghmon-Camross from Wexford.
On Friday evening the boys travel to Mayobridge to play the first matches in their group with Mayobridge, South London and Portlaoise. The matches start at 6pm.
While the boys are in Mayobridge the girls name the slightly longer trip to Ballymartin where their division 6 group matches involving Taghmon-Camross, London and Ballymartin begin.
Saturday morning sees the boys teams and girls teams play their visiting teams in our home ground of Pairc Liam Ui Ir, afterwards the teams will prepare for their afternoon matches.
The boys travel to Kilcoo who will how the quarter-finals in both the cup and shield competitions of Division 2, where we are in a group with Mayobridge, South London and Portlaoise to determine who progresses to the semi-finals and finals in Mayobridge on Sunday. The girls travel the shorter distance to Mayobridge for their afternoon matches and on Sunday the winners will play in Ardee.
On Saturday night the club will then host an evening of entertainment back in the clubrooms, where there will be a BBQ, music, craic & a mini disco for the teams. A wonderful weekend is promised and the town is looking forward to welcoming our guests!
