The U16’s hurlers travelled away to meet St Patrick’s in a damp heavy sod in Ballela. After last week’s excellent win it was hoped that their success would continue, but with time almost up and leading by a point Cumann Pheadaír Naofa let it slip and two defensive errors allowed St Patrick’s to pounce for the two vital scores they needed to win by five.

The U14’s also travelled away to Killeavy and played some excellent hurling with the younger section of the team once more showing that they too can play some fine stuff. With James Dougan on scoring duty the blues were hoping his prowess could help lead to victory, but unfortunately some defensive mistakes allowed Killeavy in for the decisive goal to hold out and be victorious on the day.
