On Saturday the U10 team and mentors made the short journey to Burren for the St.Marys clubs annual tournament, the young blues were split into two teams Gaels and Ogs.

In the group stages the Gaels played  against Burren, Crossmaglen, Mayobridge and Clonduff. The Gaels qualified for the semi final of the shield and were beaten by the hosts Burren.

The Ogs started the group stages slowly and lost their first two games, however, the young blues settled into the tournament and won their next 3 games to qualify for the semi final in the Ogs cup competition. They played extremely well and lost by a single point to the eventual winners Mayobridge.

Thanks to Burren GAC for organising a great tournament. The Under 10s now turn their attention to the forthcoming “Floodlit” Ballymartin tournament on Saturday 22nd September.
