The U8s travelled to Downpatrick where they played against Clonduff, Ballygalget & Kilclief.

In the blues first game they beat Clonduff with two goals from Jason Duffy and one from Jamie Lock. Midfielders Oliver Murdock and Ciaran McMahon were very good at moving the sliotar up the field, whilst goalkeeper Oisin Gambold made several good saves and was well assisted by James Nelson and Tiarnan O’Reilly. In the next game they faced a very strong Ballygalget team and although finishing on the wrong side of victory they made Ballygalget work hard for their scores. Against Kilclief in their final game it was a much more determined blues side that ensured they came away with a second win on the day, with some excellent movement of the sliotar it was Jason with two more goals and another from Oisin that ensured they finished ahead of their opponents.

Due to the fact that the summer Hurling /Camogie summer week will be on all week their will be no training on next Friday 8th July.

CPN were: Jason Duffy(5 goals), Oisin Gambold (1goal), Jamie Lock(1goal), Ciaran McMahon, Oliver Murdock, James Nelson & Tiernan O’Reilly.
