The Cumann Pheadaír Naofa U8 hurlers travelled to Downpatrick for their third all county blitz of the season. Coming up against teams from Kilclief, Clonduff, Ballela and Portaferry they had a great day. The blues goalkeeper Jamie Lock made some vital saves, conceding one goal throughout the day. Up front Eoin Campbell managed to score twice and was well assisted by Finn Digney, Christy Elmore and Ciaran McMahon. Whilst defenders Matthew Murphy and Tiernan O’Reilly were solid throughout helping to keep the blues move the sliotar up front for the forwards. A fantastic performance by all the boys.
It was an early start for the boys, leaving St Marks at 8:30 this morning for a 10am start, managers Averil & Colette would like to thanks those who played today, well done to Eoin Campbell, Finn Digney, Jason Duffy, Christie Elmore, Jamie Lock, Ciaran McMahon, Matthew Murphy, James Nelson and Tiernan O’Reilly. Training continues every Friday evening in Milltown.
