The Gaels went through the group stage of the tournament unbeaten with wins against Clonduff, Shamrocks, Clann Eireann and Aughlisnafin and they drew with Burren. Unfortunately they were just beaten by Mayobridge in the quarter-finals. It was great to see the fantastic teamwork and attitude of the young blues.
The Warrenpoint Ogs took part in their first tournament on Saturday. The enthusiasm of the players throughout tournament was fantastic and their performance was rewarded with a great win against Saval in the group stages of the competition. However, Saval would have the final say when the two teams met again in the knock out stages of the competition.
The U8 teams were a credit to the club on Saturday, the future is undoubtedly bright! The U8 mentors would like to thank all the parents for their continued help and support.
