On Sunday morning the U17 ladies from St Peter’s Warrenpoint proudly lifted the B League trophy following a fantastic season in this newly formed league. The girls have worked hard and have unbelievably remained unbeaten and with still two games to play the title was already decided.
Francis Rogan from Down County Board was there to present the girls with the U17 League trophy following the girls beating Kilcoo on Sunday morning. Francis presented the trophy to U17 Captain Caoimhe Shannon who raised the trophy to a rapturous cheer from team mates, management and supporters. The management team of Ian Russell and David Rice along with mentors were delighted with the achievement of the girls and noted how proud they were of the journey these girls have taken from starting at U12 and growing and developing together as team. We wish the girls all the best in their Championship campaign.
