Congratulations to our U16 Ladies Gaelic team who travelled to Mayobridge this morning to take on Ballymartin in Round 7 of the LGFA U16 League. This was a much-anticipated game for both sides, going into the game as joint top of the U16 League.
Ballymartin settled very quickly after throw-in and were first to get on the score sheet. Despite playing against a strong wind, the young Blues soon found their form and with some excellent passages of play, secured an eight-point lead by half time.
Taking full advantage of playing with the wind in the second half, the Droichead Pointe girls increased their lead finishing 8-11 to 1-03. The girls now head into their U16 exam break sitting in top position of the U16 League table. Best of luck with all the exams, girls!!!
