Congratulations to our U16 Ladies who took to the field on Sunday afternoon (14th April) in a bitterly cold and windy Milltown to meet the powerhouse of Bredagh in the 4th round of the U16 A League.
This highly anticipated game of the U16 A League did not disappoint and spectators from both camps were treated to a fantastic display of football from both sides. The Bredagh girls were quick off the mark, with the blues taking a little longer to settle into the game but once they found their form there literally was no stopping them!
True to form, Bredagh fired everything at their disposal at the Droichead Pointe girls who responded by rising to the occasion with outstanding performances across the entire team. Despite Bredagh’s best efforts and continued onslaught right to the final whistle, the victory went to a well-deserving Droichead Pointe: 3-13 to 1-09.
Next up for our U16 Ladies is an away league fixture to RGU, Downpatrick on Sunday 28th April – best of luck girls!
