Congratulations to the U16 Droichead Pointe Ladies Football Team who had a convincing win against Carryduff today. The Warrenpoint U16 Ladies, having joined forces with their counterparts from Mayobridge GAC for a second year, travelled to Carryduff today under the banner of Droichead Pointe, for their first league match of the season in the U16 A Division.
The Droichead Pointe girls got off to a strong and confident start with all ladies playing to the top of their game, restricting any opportunity for Carryduff to threaten Droichead Pointe’s lead. Half time score put Droichead Pointe in front. This lead was maintained throughout a challenging second half which saw Carryduff step up their game, however, it was not enough to steal the game with the final score: Droichead Pointe 4-12 to Carryduff 1-7.
Well done and thank you to all players and mentors, this is a fantastic start to Droichead Pointe U16 Ladies’ season.
