Huge congratulations to our U16 Ladies, ‘Droichead Pointe’, who secured their place in the U16 Championship Final on Tuesday evening following a very tight encounter vs Ballymartin under the floodlights in Pairc Liam Ui Ir, Moygannon.
From throw-in, the large crowd of spectators were treated to a fast-paced, thrilling game of football with both sides battling hard to win the coveted place in the Championship Final. At half time only 3 points separated both teams but our girls in blue came out more determined and focused in the second half and slowly stretched their lead to finish as Championship Finalists 3-14 to 3:05.
Many thanks to our army of loyal supporters who have followed the team throughout the year and to all who helped make this Semi-Final a memorable experience for the team on Tuesday evening.
The girls now look forward to meeting Saval on Saturday 13th October in the U16 Championship Final (venue to be confirmed). Best of luck ladies!!
