Cumann Pheadaír Naofa U16s are now currently sitting second in the league with a game in hand over rivals St Patrick’s. with a crunch game, away to their near rivals it was vital for Adrian McNally’s men that they put distance between themselves and St Pat’s. a superb win at home on Sunday saw an overall great performance resulting in a six-point win for the blues. Top scorer Tiernan Murphy finished the day with 3-02, as Cumann Pheadaír Naofa recovered from a quiet start to the game which saw them down by five points fifteen minutes into the game, to go in at the break leading by two. It was the immense effort put in during the second half that saw the battling spirit of the blues finish five points ahead of St Pat’s at the end and thus maintain second spot to O’Rahillys. A McNally will be keen to maintain the momentum within the side with an away fixture to Carryduff next on his list.
