The U16 footballers played at home to Ballyholland on Thursday night past. The first score came very quickly with Ruairi McCormack sticking the ball in the net within the first few minutes followed by another goal from Ryan O Hare. Ballyholland clawed back scores to half time . Coming back on for the second half only 1 point operated the sides 2-04 to 2-03.Conor Lavery started the second half with 3 consecutive points well taken from play. Ballyholland kept battling and took their points. Our defence had to cope with a lot of pressure from the Ballyholland forwards,putting in blocks and tackles to keep them at bay, the turning point came when Ronan Daly took a superb goal and a point, The team fought to the very end and grabbed the result they so well deserved. final score Cumann Pheadair Naofa 3-08 Ballyholland 2-10.
