Tough conditions for the teams with a strong wind blowing across the pitch, saw a slow start to the match in terms of scoring. The Warrenpoint ladies managed to restrict a strong Clonduff team to just a few scores, in the first 20 minutes of the match, with some outstanding defensive work.

A goal for Warrenpoint just before the half-time break, set-up the second half nicely.

Clonduff came out very strongly in the second half & looked to have everything under control, but the Warrenpoint ladies wouldn’t lie down and through sheer determination they made sure that Clonduff had to work very hard to eventually run out winners by 4-3 to Warrenpoint’s 3-1.

The management team are extremely proud of the ladies & the commitment & desire that they demonstrated.
