The U14s travelled to Carryduff on Friday night and put in an awesome performance coming away with a 13-15 to 2-3 victory. This sets up Tuesdays home fixture against Castlewellan in Milltown as a potential league winning decider. The blues have lost only one fixture all year and that was an away fixture to Armagh Cuchulainn’s. Should Cuchulainn’s and the blues both win their last remaining fixtures it will mean both teams are tied for first place. Even though the blues have a much superior score difference than their Armagh challengers, a league playoff seems the most likely outcome to decide who will be crowned division two winners 2018.
The U14 championship will be starting on the 27th July and it will be run on a round robin format with Warrenpoint, Ballyvarley, Carryduff and Castlewellan contesting the Shield competition.
