Cumann Pheadaír Naofa 7-20
St Pats 0-2
Cumann Pheadaír Naofa travelled to Ballyvarley on Friday evening and in warm sunny conditions came away with a rather emphatic 39-point victory. The blues Midfield of Tiernan Kelly and Matthew Duffy were outstanding, whilst Liam O’Connor who came away with a total of 1-8 all from play was involved in almost every Warrenpoint score and was extremely impressive in the half forward line. Cumann Pheadaír Naofa’s goals all came in the first 30 minutes as St Pats had no answer to the constant onslaught of pressure.
Matthew Duffy (2), Jarlath Donnelly (2), Tiernan Kelly, Ben Lock & Liam O’Connor all goaled with Kelly, Duffy O’Connor and Oran Murney all added further points to see out a 7-13 to 0-1 half time lead. The game slipped further away from St. Pats with 7 second half points and ensured that they sit top of Div2 along with next week’s opponents Armagh Cuchulainns in Milltown in what promises to be a really entertaining fixture.
