This left the half time score 4.06 to 0.03.
The second half was only seconds old when J.Howlett got his first of two second half goals, a feat also achieved by S.McNulty. Joining them with a “3-pointer” in the second half was B.Lynch with arguably the score of the match. Between the 2 goals an on form C.Madden scored 3 points of his own. Mayobridge looked better in the second half and managed a return of another 7 points for their efforts.
In the last Fifthteen minutes Warrenpoint rang the changes and introduced 5 substitutes, in addition to a change made in the first half, all 6 played well and none looked out of their depth.
The final score was 9.13 to 0.11 and, with the other results going Warrenpoints way, this sees John Dalys charges at the top of section 2A. The next match is away to Rostrevor, on Monday the 5th of June.
