The Cumann Pheadaír Naofa hurlers travelled to Bredagh on Thursday evening, full of belief that they could outscore their south Belfast opponents. Travelling with only the bare minimum of a panel the blues were without the services of Liam O’Connor (holiday) and both Tiarnan Burns & Niall Rice through injury. Things didn’t go as planned with the blues having a bad day at the office and they left Belfast in defeat and downhearted knowing that this was a fixture well within their grasp even without the services of the missing players. Next week the boys are at home to their regional 2 division winners with the visit of Liatroim. This will be a tough game and one that the Warrenpoint side were most unfortunate not to win when the sides last met, pushing Liatroim all the way and giving them the tightest challenge of the league so far.
