Brid Og Béal Feirste visited south Down on Saturday lunch time on their way to see the Mighty Antrim take on Carlow in a Division 2A final in Newry on Saturday. As a start to the day they brought their underage sides for a mini blitz to St Mark’s which included a strong U12 side that has had great success all over Antrim this past year. Liatroim & Castlewellan also very kindly came along to ensure that over 60 kids all got to play some competitive and enjoyable hurling. In the true nature and spirit of the day to scoring and results were of secondary importance as all in attendance were glad to get out and play. A small shower of rain went totally unnoticed by all on the day such was the focus on playing and making new acquaintances. This was the first real test for the Cumann Pheadaír Naofa U12 side with several new and regular faces showing.
