In the last Ulster indoor blitz of the year Cumann Pheadaír Naofa U12s were outstanding, beating some well renown hurling sides in the process. The young Warrenpoint side played some fantastic hurling in all four of their matches and had comfortable wins against Middletown and a physically stronger Naomh Moninne. Oran Murney, Connaire McMahon and Oisín Gambold hurled fantastically and were well supported by Jarlath Donnelly, Ronan McShane & Michael Keohane. Against their last two opponents Carrickmacross, (who scored an equalizer at the death) and St Pat’s, the team work displayed was a joy to watch and the guys were unfortunate to end with a draw and a one goal lose. Sean Crawford & Oisín McGivern gave great stability to the boys in blue up front and in defense. Overall the guys that played should be commended in their effort, the striking, hooking and blocking was top class especially as some of the guys were playing in their first blitz.
