We had a great turnout of 18 girls from our Under 10s who set off for Pairc Esler on Sunday morning (2nd September), All-Ireland Football Final Sunday. We had two teams of nine girls a side playing in the Shamrocks Blitz which included a total of over 130 girls taking part with teams from Saval, Glenn, Bosco & Shamrocks along with ourselves.
The weather was lovely and although it was very warm for the players the girls showed great stamina, teamwork and played fantastically throughout the day in all their matches.
The players have really developed during the summer and it was great to see their skills displayed on the day with resolute defending and some excellent scores taken. The girls had a great day and they were delighted to be presented with medals at the end of the blitz which were very well deserved!
