Saturday 28th May saw the Cumann Pheadair Naofa Under 10’s spring into their first competitive tournament of the year with the South Down Blitz hosted by neighbours Burren.
In the Blitz our Under 10’s battled against Tullylish, Mayobridge, Burren and An Riocht. As per rules of the tournament scores were not recorded but it allowed the Point team the opportunity to get a first hand account of competitive football against four strong South Down teams. Team Coach Paddy McShane was delighted with his sides performance and said, “it was great to see some of the lads come into their own against strong opposition, this gives us great hope for upcoming tournaments both in Clonduff and Burren in June”. Under 10’s Manager Sean O’Hare said that “Our Under 10’s played with passion today and represented the club with pride and showed a fighting spirit in each game.”
Under 10 Training continues every Wednesday 7:00pm to 8:00pm and on Sunday 11:15am to 12:15pm, all P5’s and P6 Girls and Boys are welcome to train!
