The under 10 boys travelled to Attical for the prestigious annual “Black heather Tournament”. A real sense of occasion was created as prior to the Tournament commencing all the participating teams, who came from far and wide, paraded around the field behind Atticals very own “Holy Cross Band”. Despite missing a few players due to Holidays the ‘Point boys put on a fine display, winning all their group games and topping their group. This meant they qualified for the Cup competition in 4th position over all.
Unfortunately the winning run came to an end at the first knock out stage where a fantastic and tight game was played out against Newry Shamrocks.
The under 10 coaches are very proud of how their young charges are improving and are looking forward to the upcoming Tournaments. A big “thank you” to Attical for the invite and for hosting a fantastic Tournament.
