This past week saw on average over 80 children partake of the annual summer Hurling & Camogie week, considering there were other activities also scheduled during this week, this was another great success for Hurling & Camogie within the club. The week was well organised with QUB Senior Camogie manager Joe Baldwin running the week. He was ably assisted by the Active communities’ coaches, organised through Claire McMahon and club coaches Damien McConville, Declan Doyle, Dermot Donnelly, Conor Keenan & Yvonne McFerran. We were delighted for Down Development Officer Danny Toner, Down U20s coach Ronan Sheehan and Ulster Council coach Kevin Hinphey to come and take sessions throughout the week.
Throughout the week many of our successful U14 Féile na nGael team came to lend a hand, thanks must also be extended to our minor and senior panellist who helped assist with the lead coaches over the week and ensured that everything ran smoothly.
