The blues got of to a slow start on Friday evening following a great previous win away against Clonduff. A reduced panel saw Bernie Rue’s team let Glenn take an early lead which but the blues fought hard with 2 great scores from play from Ruairi Cowan and a superb long range free from an almost impossible angle from Ross McFarry. The half time score was 1.09 to 0.06 in favour of the visitors. The blues again had a slow start in the second half and let Glenn extend their lead with 10 minutes keft to 1.16 to 0.13 and it looked like the point side were well and truly out of the running. Then the magnificent Ross McGarry found the back of the net with a cracking goal from play and this was followed quickly with another goal from Ryan ‘Rhino’ Mallon and it was quicky ‘game on!’ with 5 minutes left it was Glenn 1.16 Warrenpoint 2.12. However it wasn’t to be as Glenn were soon after awarded a penalty and the final score was Glenn 2.17 Warrenpoint 2.12.

Next up for the blues is Kilcoo away on Thursday night.
