Unbelievably it looks like history may repeat itself! Hugh Carr, who himself won an All Ireland medal with St Peter’s Quiz team and has been coaching our junior quiz team throughout their Scór na nÓg campaign this year. The team, consisting of Ruairi McCormack, Callum Davis, Ryan Haughey and Hugh’s own son Eoin Carr were crowned County Champions on Sunday 29 November, pipping hosts Clonduff to the title and they now make their way to Killarney Co.Kerry on 30 January 2016 to represent club and county in the new format Scór na nÓg All Ireland Quiz competition. Hugh said he couldn’t take credit for the teams success, he said the boys were putting in a lot of hard work themselves and their dedication was a credit to their club and family. We wish Hugh and the boys the very best of luck and hope that the Carr household can see another All Ireland Scór medal in the not so distant future!
