Cumann Pheadiar Naofa quiz team consisting of Eoin Carr, Cailum Davis, Ryan Haughey and Ruairi McCormack along with their mentor, former All Ireland Champion Hugh Carr made their way to Glen Eagle Hotel in Killarney, Co Kerry to represent club and county in the 2016 All Ireland Scór na nÓg Final. Although the boys did not come away with the title, they put in a sterling performance and finished with 68/80 when the final count was revealed with the winning team, from host County Kerry scoring 78/80 and retaining the title for the 2nd year. The boys were cheered on by their family, friend and supporters from Warrenpoint Mayobridge and Ballyholland, all of whom were there to represent club, county and province in the final. The young team can be very proud of their performance and club Chairman Eugene Gallagher said he was extremely proud of the team, he said the atmosphere and support from the whole county reiterated what the GAA was all about. He also wishe to pass on the club’s congratulations to Mayobridge and Gavin Gribben on being crowned All Ireland Solo Singing Champion 2016.
