With a strong connection between school and club sports we are delighted to have some of our playing and non playing members participating for the top spots in the Country this week.
Monday sees St Louis U20 Ladies Footballers play for an All Ireland spot when they take on Holy Cross SS Clontarf in the Lidl All Ireland Semi Final. The St Louis ladies, already Down and Ulster Champions are well represented with the ‘blue’ contingent of Captain Meabh O’Hare, player Emma Russell, Manager Aislíng McGivern (Club PRO) and Coach Steven McVeigh. We wish them all the best in their quest to make history in the school.
On Friday, St Colman’s College Newry take to the main GAA stage in Armagh, The Athletic Grounds where they contest the much acclaimed MacRory Cup for the first time in years. They have already beaten off stiff competition along the way and club minor Eoghan Byrne is an integral part of the team. We wish the team and management all the best in their St Patrick’s day final.
