The reserve footballers had a good start against neighbours Burren and went ahead by 4 points early in the first half. In true style Burren battled back well and at the end of the half the blues were ahead by 1.

Burren came out on fire in the second half and the blues quickly went four points down.  However in true Warrenpoint fashion, the never say die attitude saw Ruairi McGivern blast a goal into the back of the net and a point later which saw the blues win by one. It was a close game all round with solid performances from Stephen Monaghan and Johnny Murchan in defence and anton magill and Ruairi McGivern on the forward line.
