As we enter into the winter months after a summer of fun in Gaelic Games it is time to begin the registration process again. Throughout the season our volunteer coaches and administrators thoroughly enjoyed making a contribution to the life of Gaelic Games in the Warrenpoint area and ensuring provision of games opportunities for your children. While the field games have quietened for the winter, the work of the Club continues throughout the full year and our thoughts now are turning to prepare for the 2016 season. Managers and mentors are currently attending coaching courses, plans are also at an advanced stage for the strength and conditioning training which takes place at St. Mark’s High School in January 2016, cultural activities continue in the Club with the commencement of the Cumann na nÓg Irish Group in the GAA Clubrooms on Thursday evenings.
The Club continues to participate in Scor na nÓg, with the instrumental group through to the Ulster Final and the quiz team through to the All-Ireland Scór na nÓg final in Killarney on 30 January 2016. Following on from our internal preparation process we now have arranged our annual registration day in which all club members are invited to register for the incoming season. This year’s registration day will take place on Sunday 10 January 2016 in the clubrooms Mary Street, further details will be outlined in a letter which will be issued to all members in the coming days.
