Pointer group gets off to a flying start

Last Monday saw the start of this years Pointer project in clubrooms. This year there are 25 young club members in 4th or 5th year who  have signed up to a 10 week training programme on leadership in Youth work. This course is being delivered by Cumann Pheadair Naofa in partnership with the SELB youth service and will lead to a level 1 OCN qualification in youth leadership. The young people will be taking part in the  Gold Mark scheme which recognises volunteering within sport and they will be logging the hours that they volunteer for the club and community.
