The Cumann Pheadair Naofa/St. Dallan’s P1 football coaching programme commemced on Friday 5 February. Cumann Pheadair Naofa coaches Liam Howlett and Conrad Madden along with DENI Schools’ Coach Garreth Thornton and St. Dallan’s teacher Brendan Rice delivered the programme to the enthusiastic Primary One pupils.
The six week programme is an introduction to Gaelic Football for boys and girls with the focus on developing basic coordination skills. Cumann Pheadair Naofa Club School Liaison officer Anne McCormack stated that the club were delighted to work in partnership with St. Dallan’s in the promotion and enjoyment of Gaelic Games. She thanked Principal Mrs Una Farrell and the school GAA coordinator Brendan Rice for their continued support for developing gaelic games across the school from P1 to P7.
Planning has already commenced for the Annual Club/School GAA health and Wellbeing day which will be held at the beginning of the summer term.
