Cumann Pheadair Naofa GAA proudly introduced Warrenpoint Operation Transformation for January 2019. The 7week, team based activity programme will follow the RTE Operation transformation TV and radio show with the aim to Move More and Eat Better. On Friday past 114 people descended on the clubrooms for the registration and induction night and formed 11 teams of various different colours. The unexpectedly large crowd created a great buzz about the clubrooms and were eager to get started, lots of competitiveness was apparent in the room!
On Sunday morning the troops arrived in Kilbroney Park to begin the ‘Move More’ aspect of the programme, what a turn out of well over 100 people! Everyone took off together heading up the ‘Burmagh (Burma) Road and then some of the dedicated crew took the step run up Fiddlers Green, everyone arrived back together at the carpark within an hour and the coloured teams could be seen taking selfies and photos of their group exercise, a wonderful Sunday morning spent in the great outdoors.
