With a strong connection between school and club sports we were delighted to have some of our playing and non playing members participating for the top spots in the Country this week.

Monday saw St Louis U20 Ladies Footballers play for an All Ireland spot when they took on a strong Holy Cross SS Clontarf in the Lidl All Ireland Semi Final. The St Louis ladies Ulster Champions were unfortunately not able to oversee the strong competition from the Dublin side and bowed out of the competition. Congratulations to all involved including our club representatives of Captain Meabh O’Hare, player Emma Russell, Manager Aislíng McGivern (Club PRO) and Coach Steven McVeigh.

On Friday, St Colman’s College Newry took to the main GAA stage in Armagh, The Athletic Grounds where they contested the much acclaimed MacRory Cup for the first time in years. Unfortunately they couldn’t get the better of the Derry side and can hold their heads high in what was a tremendous match. Congratulations to club minor Eoghan Byrne who made an significant impact upon his entry into the match.

We are extremely proud of all our club school links and are delighted to see so many participating at such high levels.
