Cumann Pheadair Naofa minors took on Newry Shamrocks on Tuesday past in the league.
The Blues got off to a great start in the first half with scores from Ruairí Kernan, Ruairí McCormack and Aaron McBurney. The points defence performed well and kept the Newry side to 4 points in the half. Half time score 0-9 to 0-4
The second half seen the point start brightly with an early point from Harry Houlahan. Shamrocks started to come more into the game and a lapse in defence seen the Newry men hit the net and close the gap. Harry and Korhee Hourican kept the blues just in front with scores however Shamrocks finished strongly with another goal and crucial scores to win 2-10 to 0-12.
