A huge congratulations to our U12 Ladies Manager, Liz Power, who made club history this week by becoming the 1st female referee in Warrenpoint!
Liz recently completed her LGFA Level 1 Referee’s course, which qualifies her to referee from U10 – U14 level. Liz also completed a further lines-person training course through Ulster Council and set off on her first official duty on Saturday 6th April to the U14 Festival of Football in Belfast officiating in no less than three county fixtures (Armagh vs Cavan), (Antrim vs Armagh) & (Cavan vs Antrim).
The entire club and Ladies Gaelic section are extremely proud of Liz’s achievement and wish her well in her new role!!
