Congratulations to Kirsty Fegan who has been named Captain of Cumann Pheadair Naofa’s first ever Senior Ladies Football team. Kirsty, a popular choice with both players and management, has played Ladies Gaelic football for our club since its inception in 2012. She has progressed through the ranks from playing in our first ever U12 Ladies Gaelic team to recently having the honour of being chosen as Senior Captain. We wish Kirsty and the Senior Ladies all the very best in the season ahead which commences this Thursday (5th April) with Round 1 of the Junior Ladies League away to St Michael’s, Magheralin at 7pm.
Launch of Ladies U16 & Ladies Senior Jerseys
On Sunday 25th March Cumann Pheadair Naofa’s Ladies Gaelic Administrator, Noreen Kelly, welcomed a large crowd to the clubrooms for the launch of our first ever Senior Ladies football jersey and the new Ladies U16 jersey.
A big thank you was extended to Conrad, Margaret and Olivia Haughian from ‘Conrad Developments’ for sponsoring the senior jerseys and to Kate Kelly from ‘Whitmount Limited’ for sponsoring the new U16 Ladies jersey. Special thanks was also extended to Ciara Connolly from ‘Fancy Ladies’ who has offered to sponsor 1/4 zip training tops for the Senior Ladies Gaelic team.
Speaking on behalf of the club Noreen Kelly thanked all those involved in helping us reach this milestone in our club’s history and wished both teams and their management panels all the very best in the season ahead.
