Cumann Pheadair Naofa Ladies Gaelic Football U-14 and U-16 end of season presentations took place in the Clubrooms, Mary Street on Saturday 7 November. U-14/U-16 Ladies Football manager, Declan Austin welcomed the girls and their parents to the presentation. In announcing the awards, Declan congratulated the U-14 and the U-16 girls on their commitment, enthusiasm, participation and good humour throughout the season. He also thanked their parents for the encouragement and support for the girls’ participation in Ladies Gaelic Football.
Kerri Keenan was the popular winner of the U-14 Most Improved Player of the Year while the talented Eanna Austin was named U-14 player of the Year.
History was made with the inaugural presentation of the U-16 Ladies Gaelic Football player awards. Committed player Cliodhna Shannon was confirmed the first winner of the Most Improved U-16 Player of the Year award.
A deserving, consistent and team stalwart Annie Howlett, was presented with the U-16 Player of the Year award.
Club Secretary Anne McCormack, on behalf of Cumann Pheadair Naofa, expressed appreciation to the U-14/U-16 Ladies Gaelic Football management team, led by manager Declan Austin, assisted by David Rice, Ian Russell, Peter Shannon, Feirin McArdle and Fiona Austin for their tremendous work with the girls over the past season.
