U16 Ladies Bow Out in Championship Semi-final
Droichead Pointe Ladies travelled to Bredagh on Sunday morning for the Semi-final of the All County U16 Championship.
The game got off to a lively start with Bredagh securing an early lead. The Blues fought back but were unable to push ahead and were trailing by 4 points at the half-time whistle.
Droichead Pointe, determined and resolute, returned for the 2nd half, their hard work closing Bredagh’s lead to just 1 point. However, any chance of winning slipped from their grasp, when in the last minutes Bredagh squeezed in a goal, making the final score 3-11 v 1-13 to Bredagh.
Despite being greatly disappointed with today’s result, the Droichead Pointe Ladies bow out, satisfied with their achievement, of being the Ladies U16 A League victors.
