Warrenpoint minors finished their league campaign with an away fixture to Downpatrick. Downpatrick started the game strong and caught the blues napping scoring a goal in the first minute of the game. The blues started to play themselves into the game with scores from Ruairi McCormack and Ronan Daly. The Hoops hit the nest again before Eoin Carr finished an impressive move with a goal

The blues forced themselves into control of the game with scores from Aaron McBurney and Sean O’Hare. Eoghan Byrne sprung to life with a great run and goal to give the blues a strong lead. Downpatrick however fired over points to keep themselves in touching distance of the Point. The introduction of Allan Booth and Stephen Doyle pushed the point lads on again with Allan scoring a fine goal. Doyler settled the result for the Blues after firing home a goal.
