U13s win away from home

Ballela 4-7 V Patrick Rankins 5-6

Having been well beaten several weeks ago by Ballela, Patrick Rankins knew they were going to get a tough return fixture on their victor’s home turf on Friday night.

Jamie Lock opened the scoring with a point, But Ballela were quick to reply with the opening goal. A Ciaran McMahon goal, a Danny McManus point and a brace from Lock left the visitors trailing by just two points.

The second half saw Rankins lift their game and aided by some brilliant pieces of interplay they started to turn the game in their favour. Further scores from McMahon, Eoin Gorman & McManus left them two-point winners at the final whistle.
