U13s come good against Bredagh

Patrick Rankins played hosts to second placed Bredagh in the Div2 U13 league on Friday evening. The Newry/Warrenpoint amalgamation were narrowly beaten in last week’s evenly
contested encounter with Craobh Rua so the south Belfast side would have been strongly fancied to come away from Paírc Esler with another two points in the bag, but a gritty
performance and some fantastic displays of hurling from the south Down lads proved their undoing.
The skill, determination and teamwork of the Rankins side resulted in a well merited win. Well done to Warrenpoint’s Colette Lock & Newry’s Ronan Sheehan who have ensured that the boys
have gotten some great games of hurling over the last month.
Next Friday the boys will be at home to Kilclief.
