For the first time Warrenpoint have a girls U18 team in the county league. They played Ballymartin at home which turned out to be a very competitive and strongly contested game. At half time Warrenpoint had a slender two point lead against the wind.

Unfortunately wind direction changed in the second half and Ballymartin scored 3 unanswered goals in a 10 minute period but the girls showed great hunger and team spirit in 15 minutes Warrenpoint cut the deficit to a single point with some great attacking football with the girls pushing forward for the win, unfortunately they were caught with a two goal sucker punch which ended there chance of a first league win.

Manager Ian Russell said that if the girls play with the same intensity and team spirit the first win this season will not be too far away.
