Warrenpoint U16s continued their championship campaign with the last round robin game in Bryansford on Thursday night. The game started slow with ball stuck in the middle before the teams traded scores. Bryansford took the lead through a well worked goal!

The blues started to settle as the half went on and took scores through Ruairi Kernan and Jamie lynch before a goal from Aaron McBurney left the point with a 4 point gap at the break. Half time score 1-6 to 1-2 in favour of the point.

The blues began the second half strong and took some excellent scores through Alan Booth and Ronan Daly. The young Warrenpoint team started to slow down the ford attack but they kept in touch with some vital points during the half. The blues however kicked on and looked like they couldn’t miss with Eoin Carr, Korhee Hourican and 2 excellent scores from Conor Lavery the pick of the 14 second half points. Final score 1-20 to 1-8. Best performances from Conor Lavery, Korhee Hourican and Matthew Maginn.
