Following their last successful blitz, a strong U8 Cumann Pheadaír Naofa side travelled to Downpatrick for their first outdoor blitz 2017. First up were neighbours Clonduff, the blues pushed hard with defenders James and Tiarnan marshalling the rearguard ensuring the sliotar got up to a mighty midfield pairing of Oliver and Christy who delivered a plentiful supply to forwards Jason and Eoin. They opened the scoring with goals to ensure the first win, 2-1. The young seasiders next opponents were Carryduff, the dynamics of the attack changed slightly but again the outcome was the same, 2 goals apiece from Oliver and Tiarnan followed by a fifth from Jamie and the blues had their second and most emphatic victory of the day, a 5-0 result. Next up was a strong Ballygalget A side and although the blues were unlucky this time to get a win, they reserved the tables when up against Ballygalget B, to come away with a 2-1 win and their third win from four played. In the last game of the day Cumann Pheadaír Naofa faced Kilclief, once more some great teamwork ensured the sliotar was in their possession and some great interplay teamwork saw them strike for four goals, Jamie and Oliver each helping themselves to two goals apiece for a final win of 4-1.

Training continues every Friday night 6-7 in St Marks.
