In one of the hottest days of the year five young hurlers from CPN enjoyed a fantastic day at Croke Park. Arriving early in the morning Darragh Austin, Tiernan Kelly, Jarlath Donnelly, Mark Campbell and Matthew Duffy got to play a game of Hurling on the hallowed turf of Croke Park. All the boys thoroughly enjoyed their time on the field and showed off their excellent skills with plenty of possession and striking in the 30 minutes, with both Mark (1-0) and Jarlath (1-1) scoring. After the game the boys enjoyed a tour of the stadium, which included access to the players changing rooms and warm up areas, cooperate boxes, the players’ lounge and learnt about the behind the scenes running of Croke Park and maintenance of the hallowed turf.
