Cumann Pheadair Naofa U16s continued their League campaign with a 6th straight win with victory over Bredagh on Sunday evening. The point played very good football in the first half with brilliant build up play resulting in points for Aaron McBurney, Eoghan Byrne and Ronan Daly. The move of the game seen the point work the the ball up the field through Kohree Hourican which he slipped to Aaron McBurney who finished low in the corner. Half time score 1-7 to 0-3.
Bredagh come out much stronger and brought the game to the Blues and started to draw themselves back into the game with 5 points. The point started to get nervous but the defence held firm and kept Bredagh out. A brilliant save from Ryan Haughey lead to a goal from Eoghan Byrne and Sean O Hare finished the game with a late point. The Blues ran out winners 2-9 to 0-8.
