The Annual South Down Final of Scór na nÓg will took place in St Mark’s High School Warrenpoint on Sunday 26 November.
We first welcomed our Ceili dancers on stage, our instrumental was next and our set dancers ended the club representatives. All three groups gave outstanding performances and the hours of practice and determination were evident.
The packed hall eagerly awaited the results and to the home crowd’s delight the first winners of the night went to the Warrenpoint Ceili dancers and the last winners announced also went to the home team when Warrenpoint dancers were again announced as set winners. Double dancing joy for cultural officer Carmel McGrath and dance teacher Turlough O’Neill. Congratulations to all our acts and competitors and their hard working mentors.
